Easter Weekend

Thank you to everyone who helped take care of Brannan Care while we took a little family vaca for Easter! Special thanks to Grandma Barb and Grandma Jane for watching those babies and for everyone being flexible with our getaway!

Confession time. So Michael and I were talking about how to best use our 2 full days down there. After the travel time Friday and Monday (hint, we had taken 3, yes THREE bathroom stops before we got to Eureka on the way out of town). Michael had packed the golf clubs and was thinking of when he'd get away for 9... or 18 holes! :) AND I was envisioning myself walking the outlet mall and actually trying on clothes in the dressing room, ALONE!! But then we took a step back. This was our FAMILY trip.... not a trip for us. The kids make a lot of sacrifices for the restaurant and in home childcare businesses. They don't really know it, and they are (of course!) well taken care of and well adjusted. But there are VERY few times that they have 2 parents to dote on them with our undivided attention. So we asked them what they wanted to do. Each day was about them and what would make their trip special. The outlet mall shopping adventure turned into Maddi's 1 hour (YES, one WHOLE hour) perusing the Disney store thinking about what to spend her Easter money on. I hit zero dressing rooms, and it appears as though Michael's golf clubs were just along for the ride. BUT, it was an amazing trip. We had a wonderful time, and it was rewarding for everyone! Here are some pics for your enjoyment! :) Lamberts Cafe... home of the throwed rolls.
