Scribbling away

I would say that every day includes writing, coloring, cutting, gluing, painting, playdough, jewelry making or some thing "art" related. I have the kid friendly items in a cabinet bottom shelf, and I love when the kids go help themselves and start on a quiet activity. I told Caitlin this is "Montessori style" day care here.... but really the kids are just getting so much older and more independent that they just know what they want to do and when they want to do it, and, with safe and creative activities, I can't dispute with that! :) The FIRST full day back as a crew after the holiday break was busy visiting old toys, breaking in new ones, and Maddilyn writing her own thank you notes (with help) for her birthday gifts. In the meantime, Lia and Sophia joined us at their leisure! :)
