Intolerance

In an attempt for better sleeping through the night, our Maddi has cut diary from her diet after 2 PM.  So far I have done ZERO research on why this may or may not help with nightmares or night wakings.  Also, my dad (doctor) and the peditrician say there is probably no connection,  BUT a few seasoned and well trusted mothers have sworn this phenomenon is true, and if you google it, there is a lot of moms and blogs (ah, the internet sources) to claim this allergy and sleep are some how related.  AND, if we're being really honest, when you haven't slept through the night for two years (MIND YOU.....after 3 years of glorious 12 hours or more of sleep from her) you will try ANY suggestion!

I am fascinated at myself from turning so quickly into that mother who did so much research on all parenting theories and practices before implementation to a mom who so quickly will go with what "feels right" or just "sounds good" or an overall laid back and settled attitude about raising my humans!!  :)  Someday I'll print out this whole blog and laugh as I read and watch my parenting approach change and adapt as I went from one baby in my home to the six I'm currently responsible for! :) 


Anywho, there has not been a "magic" turn around that we notice.  She has had less frequent wakings, but there are still some terrible weeks and other weeks that are great.  Without our own smashing success, I'd venture to tell you that we have dropped this attempt, but God bless this little rule follower who just won't drink milk after 2 pm.  She even asks the time when you ask what she would like to drink! :)  So here she is..... dipping her chocolate chip cookie dessert in to a water cup! :)
