What is it about the first day of school? I never understood why that was so sad for parents. AND I never thought having Maddi in preschool a few mornings a week would be a sad thing for me at all..... after all, it'll be fun for her! But this morning when we packed up the double stroller and Sophia, Michaela, Michael, and I said goodbye to my 2 year old, I felt overcome with sadness. Is it because she is OLD enough for school? Is it because I really don't know what they do all day in there? Miss Tina does NOT have the play by play infant sheets that I offer! :) Is it because with an 8 to one ratio in there, she won't get all the attention she gets here? Don't they eventually have to learn that anyways? Maddi is due to learn that perhaps the world does not revolve around her! Is it because I left her with someone I don't even know or chose myself? We all know there are some bad teachers out there. No matter the mommy's feelings, Maddi had a great day. All I gather from the mouth of the babe is that she has 2 friends.... Alex (our neighbor) and Andrew.... hmmmmm...... all boys! She sang a song about a fish and a dolphin, and had a granola bar snack! She was happy and is eager to go back on Friday and on Funday (Monday). :) Sophia & Michaela and I had a nice long walk in the double stroller while she was gone, and today was a GREAT day! :) Adorable pic heading into the Pony room with her Tinkerbell backpack!
