Meet Michaela. Even though her sister randomly chose her name from a hat (there were 5 names put in there by her parents)......Michaela has the perfect name since she seems to look and act like her dad and his side of the family. The girl version of Michael has the same meaning, "who is like God".... while she is still so young, we can hope and pray that she grows up knowing God and following His will! :) She is 9 months old. She goes to bed between 7 and 8 and then ususally wakes up for the day between 7 and 8. She still sometimes wakes in the night, or very early morning, but mostly is doing her 12 hours. :) She nurses, then she eats breakfast, nurses, and then takes her morning nap between 9 and 10. She eats lunch, nurses, and then takes her afternoon nap between 1 and 2. She usually gives us a one hour nap and a two hour nap..... you never know which will be longer since it varies day to day. She eats dinner around 5 then does a bath and some play and goes to bed around 7 after a nice warm 7 oz bottle! :) She is happy and predictable and flexible for change when there are outings in a day. She goes to bed right when she is layed down with her binky and her silky blanket.... no complaints and hardly even gets up anymore. She is a great eater. She will consume any kind of food she can break down with her 3 teeth. She prefers things she can hold and bite herself, and we've thrown out the window the "wait until a year" for egg whites, cheese, nut products, berries and all those other "high allergens". She loves all kinds of food and truly eats it all! :) She has been crawling and pulling to stand since 6 months, she now also climbs stairs and dishwashers, says Ma ma, Ya ya (for her dog Sasha), says uh-oh, waves hi and goodbye, claps, and pours cups on her head in the bath. She can also houdini out of any seat belt... shopping carts, highchairs, strollers, you name it, she is not secure in it! :) She is working on her 4 top teeth, so she is loving to chew on everything. Her favorite is shoes. Never leave flip flops or crocs unattended on the ground. She loves playing with things that make noise, emptying things out, opening and shutting things, climbing, pushing things, her sisters Maddi & Sasha, and anyone who smiles at her. While she can be a "little stinker" with the dog water, cabinets, dishwasher knives, and all "off-limit" buttons, she is adorable and her smile can melt any heart! :) Her main concern is that her mommy will be holding other babies (she is VERY attached to mom right now) and she needs to learn to use gentle touch with those little babes... she is mostly used to playing with big kids and trying to hold her own there.... She needs some guidance with the WHOLE-lotta love she has! :) She will get there! :)

I heart Michaela. And it cracks me up that Michaela's word for her dog is exactly the same as Kate's name for her sister. :)
