First week went really well! All the babies are sooooo good, and I LOVE my new "job". My idea of how this year was going to go was that I would be home all day, on the floor reading and playing with babies! :) If I was working/ teaching, I wouldn't get any cleaning or laundry or cooking done at home while away, so even if I don't get anything "done" during my new work day, it is no more than before! :) PLUS, since I had the pleasure of spending quality time with my kids during those daytime hours, I won't feel so bad having to do all the house maintenance during my afternooon/ evening time with them. I always found that balance so hard before...... when I would be home with my girls after a long work day, I would want to give them all kinds of time and attention, but there was still so many other household needs to be done during that time too! I don't think my new job is easier than teaching.... there are some moments when everyone seems to be hungry or fussy and parts of each day that are very busy..... but there are also some times that I have moments where it is quiet. I even had a few times during the week where all 4 babies were asleep at the same time. Or there was times when 3 would be asleep and I could bond and give some great attention to just one sweet girl! :) I think there will be a constant pendulum of busy and quiet times, but all of it has been so much fun for me, and I am excited for a new week! :)
